George Murray’s poetry, fiction and criticism appear often in journals, magazines, and papers throughout Canada and the US, including: Alphabet City , The Antigonish Review, Descant, Event, Fiddlehead, The Globe and Mail, The Iowa Review, Mid-American Review, Nerve.com, The New Quarterly, The Ontario Review (Princeton), Pequod, Prairie Fire, PRISM international, slope, and others.

His second book of poetry, The Cottage Builder’s Letter, was published spring 2001 by Canada’s leading literary press, McClelland and Stewart and has been awarded both Ontario Arts Council and Toronto Arts Council works-in-progress grants.

The former Poetry Editor at The Literary Review of Canada, George now lives in New York City with his wife, writer and scholar Ailsa Craig.
